Game is fantastic and have been a fan for over a decade. The iPhone port works, and its touch support is surprisingly good. iPad port is lacking- needs a bilinear scaler wfor retina displays and gamepad/keyboard support. Please show this game some love!

Please, do us gamers a favor, and add the level editor! Other than that, 10/10 game.

it has been 5 years since this game has been updated and it needs one now. i want to use the level editor. and why is the resolution so bad?

Gosh what a great game. Love it. Just needs to be updated for the wider size, because not having a reliable touch area makes it frustrating! And like others I have some occasional freezes when teleporting.

Would be perfect if it was updated to fit the new iPhone screen sizes.

Love this game, really truly deeply - even if I'm miserable at it! Why 4 out of 5? Bilinear (or trilinear/etc) filtering on my ipad - blurry edges on the pixels. I was shocked to not see an option for this in the settings. Is this an iOS / game engine limitation? I'd love to see this in the sharp, blocky way I'm used to from PC!

Please update VVVVVV or Apple will remove it from the App Store.

One of my favorites mobile games. Very well done

I bought this game back in Jan. 2015 when i was younger. I spent hours playing and eventually beat the game. I had to reinstall for the nostalgia, this game will always have a special place in my heart. I wish more people would play and enjoy it

The most underrated game on the App Store. Amazing storyline and awesome gameplay. I’m pretty sure the game hasn’t been updated in like 4 years tho which doesn’t make it compatible with the current IOS. But it still does work so it’s fine.

I loved playing this game as a kid. It’s the best!

Playable and enjoyable on mobile, but not great. Frequent occasions of directional inputs not registering. Seems the input area is only the game width, but it also extends a variable amount off the game window? Hard to figure out how to control your character. Even an hour or two in.

When I collect the Doing Things The Hard Way trinket, I cannot get rid of the congratulatory message and I get softlocked.

I play this a lot it’s a great way to just relax and play and it has a great storyline!

add updates pls and make it look clean for mobile

Some of the levels might make you want to die but they are so fun and challenging! Great game!

The reason it’s a nearly perfect game is because the game just freezes when you touch the SS1 teleporter*. And sometimes after you quit a time trials, the screen goes black but you can still flip around. If those bugs weren’t in the game it would be a perfect game! Five stars! *SS1 is Space Station 1, the first zone in the game. I only called it that because I speedrun this and that’s what speed runners call it. But other than that, a great game!

I played this game on my pc a couple years ago and a friend told me that it was on the App Store. I immediately bought it and have had endless fun with it. The plot is amazing and it’s challenging enough to get your brain thinking! 10/10

This is one of my favorite games available on iOS. The soundtrack is catchy and immersive and a great complement to the challenging gameplay. VVVVVV is very difficult but it’s replay-ability is high because it is so driven by the core mechanic of the game. I recommend this to anyone who loves challenging platformers.

What do you mean by “64 bit”?

I love this game, but ever since I updated to iOS 11 the left direction sticks and my character moves on its own. Any fix?? I’ve tried changing control type and restarting the app but didn’t work.

This is one of my favorite games of all time and unlike most mobile ports this is just as good as the console and PC versions. (Though it’s missing the level editor.) This game was difficult at first but I’ve beaten it a few times now so even things like Edge Games and Doing Things The Hard Way don’t give me too much trouble. Anyone who enjoys difficulty, which I do, will most likely have a blast with this game. The level design is great, the music is great, getting all the trinkets is fun, and it’s overall just an amazing game. I highly recommend it.

Haven’t played it in a few years, but the main game mechanic is fantastic, and the C64 aesthetic is super clean. Was playing Super Hexagon wondering if VVVVV was ever updated for newer iOS systems and literally 8 minutes before I checked, it was. :) Thank you for this amazing game. Have a good day!

This is the best game I have ever played on iOS. I'm not much of iOS player as much as a computer player but this game got my attention. I got it for free at Starbucks and it has been my favorite game. Although, there are some parts that are really hard or just mind games, don't give up, try everything, and if it doesn't work look it up on YouTube. Not gonna lie I had to do it 2 times. The best part of this game is that it needs no wifi so I can save my LTE while having fun. I've been playing this game for about 2 weeks and I beat it!

Dude, the fact that i beat this in a day kind of proves the game is easy. But it still kills time and that makes it a good thing to have on your mobile device. You can play it again and again and player levels are a blast! I truly reccomend this game!

The fact that you can't turn down the music in the game kills this game for me. I want to be able to listen to music or a podcast when I play and I can't.

This is the best game I've ever downloaded. It is fun, easy-to-play-hard to-master. Plus, the music is great. It took me about 2.5 hrs to beat the game but there is still trinkets to find which unlock a hidden area.

I very rarely find games like these. The ones that pull me in and keep me playing even if I have hit the same set of spikes on the same screen for the hundredth time. The ones that make me want to go out and get all of the collectibles, not only to say that I've done it, but to also see as much of the game as possible. This is a game that I remember screen for screen. I bought this during the %66 off indie sale and if I hadn't caught that deal then I would probably never have this game. It is very difficult, and you will spend 5-10 minutes on some screens. Even up to 30-60 for one or two trinket screens if you want them. But it's all worth it. This game doesn't other many hours the first play though. But with all the extra modes and all of the player made worlds it makes the game much longer. The only thing I can say is that I heavily hope that they come out with the VVVVVV: Make and Play edition for iOS. But beyond that it is worth every penny that it costs, even without the deal. And I hope that if anyone that gets the chance to try it takes that chance and plays through the game completely and fully, then you'll really start to understand how amazing this simple little game really is.

If you find yourself saying these same words, good luck, because the accuracy of the controls makes the mobile version more rage inducing than the original. Aside from that, it still manages to capture the amazing puzzle mechanics of the original version.

This game is HARD! But it's super fun and holds your attention! Points: • Easy to learn • Hard to master • Well worth the $$$ • Feel accomplished!

First message you get is a warning that this app will slow your iPhone down because the developers haven't updated it for nearly THREE YEARS. It's just barely compatible with the newest iOS. I understand it's supposed to look vintage, but the graphics are blurry. The game looks like a beginner made it and it's honestly not worth the $.99 I wasted on it because after 5 mins of playing, I'm bored out of my mind and ready to delete. I wish I could get a refund.
